NAF Laminaze

- Laminaze is a unique blend of natural antioxidants combined with optimal gut support through organic sulphur and targeted nutrients. This in a tasty formula to maintain hoof health and improve diet and lifestyle. We hear the term ＆Insulin Resistance' or ＆IR' over and over again in relation to laminitis, characterised by symptoms such as a swollen neck or fat pads around the tail or head. The ＆IR' can be genetic, or a heavy horse can develop ＆IR'. Either way, the advice is the same: exercise, good farrier and the right diet. Research has shown that metabolic disturbance, visible as a hoof disorder, is most likely caused by gut disturbances. The use of prebiotics (FOS & MOS) and live probiotics is recommended to promote a stable and healthy gut environment. Natural antioxidants support the expulsion of excess toxins from the laminae. If excess fat is observed, the use of natural magnesium is recommended. Natural Sulphur (MSM) is recommended to promote healthy hoof growth and strong sulphur bonds within the lamellae. Laminaze contains all the key nutrients to support a horse or pony with 'IR'. It should be fed as part of a high fibre, low energy diet during the risk period. Non-structural carbohydrates (NSC) found in lush, fresh grass and high energy concentrates should be avoided.
